Westford PFAS Plant to Receive Filter Vessels Tuesday

DATELINE — WESTFORD

Crews will deliver four large filter vessels to the PFAS treatment plant under construction on Nutting Road Tuesday morning, a step forward in the town's effort to bring the facility online.

The Nutting Road PFAS treatment plant will receive its four filter vessels beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, according to a town News Flash notice. The plant is being built to address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in Westford's water supply.

The town also announced completion of the Stony Brook Track and Athletic Court Improvement Project, per a News Flash post, though officials did not release additional detail on the finished work. Separately, the Town Manager's August newsletter is now posted on the town website, offering residents a monthly update on municipal projects.

SCHOOLS

The Westford School Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, Aug. 31, according to the town's official public meeting calendar.
