Board denies food manager variance and church fee request
Board of Health · Meeting of April 13, 2026
WESTFORD — Board of Health denies two food-service variance and fee requests. The board rejected proprietor Pamela H. Sulka's request to waive the Certified Food Protection Manager on-site requirement for Muffins on Main and voted unanimously to deny Orchard Church's request for a 50 percent reduction on food plan review and permit fees.
Health Department staff noted the variance request had not been historically granted and the fee reduction was unprecedented. The department received a 9,000 dollar FDA and NEHA grant for food inspection standards and approved its Public Health Accreditation Board application.
