Planning Board · Meeting of August 17, 2026
Westford Planning Board confronted a developer over unauthorized tree clearing on Kinloch Drive and continued three related hearings to September 14, 2026. Member Joan Croteau said the board was "really misled" about waivers granted under the assumption Kinloch Drive would serve only two lots, not the three now proposed. Abutter John Conway, of 66 Main Street, said new curbing blocks his access and asked the board to "hold them accountable for their actions," while neighbor Lisa Cripanuk recalled an roughly $800,000 neighborhood fundraising push years earlier to buy the land for conservation.
Separately, the board voted 5-0-0 to reissue a lapsed 2019 common-driveway special permit for Wright Lane, approved a minor setback reduction for a Colonel Rolls Drive portico, and continued review of a Small Clean Energy Infrastructure Facilities zoning bylaw, which Northern Middlesex Council of Governments Deputy Director Kelly Lynema is revising ahead of an October Special Town Meeting warrant.
