WESTFORD — Joint Library Building Committee backs $668,440 in warrants and invoices. The committee unanimously approved the payment package and the February 2026 AMPLIFUND report, which showed $155,822.43 in aggregated interest earned on grant funds through the end of February. Project manager CHA reported schedule delays from sequential steel and concrete work plus previously unknown existing structural conditions, including unsupported masonry and a damaged beam, but confirmed the 18-to-22-month timeline remains achievable.
The revised taxpayer cost stands at $22,228,702.51; furnishings and fixtures procurement came in under budget, and two warrant articles authorizing a $60,000 CPA Historic Preservation grant and a national grid easement both passed at Annual Town Meeting.
