Library Trustees Approve $14,000 in Digital Collections Expenditures

Westford Library Trustees approve $14,000 for digital collections. The board unanimously backed combined expenditures of $2,000 for Midwest Hoopla, $7,000 for Overdrive under state aid, and $5,000 for Overdrive under operating budget at the May 4 meeting. Director Ellen Rainville reported the library will relocate to 50 Main Street in March 2027 and is nearly at full staffing, with administrative librarians having completed 19 of 20 job descriptions.
Assistant Director Kristina Leedberg has applied to a Massachusetts Municipal Association and Suffolk University leadership program with $2,850 tuition due July 31 if accepted. The board also unanimously approved Saturday closures on July 4 and December 26, 2026.
