WESTFORD — The Westford Monuments and Memorials Committee heard two memorial proposals and tasked staff with site coordination. John and Regina Conway requested permission to place a commemorative bench or benches at the Roudenbush in memory of their baby granddaughter; Committee Chair Terry Stader directed them to consult with Kyle Fox at the Department of Public Works on locations before seeking committee approval. Marisha Kazeniac presented her Abbott Mill Workers monument project for Forge Village and agreed to explore alternative sites with help from David Gutbrod and DPW, while Stader said she would consult police and fire chiefs on concerns.
Committee members Beaver Rodgers and Stader offered to meet the sculptor in person to review potential locations.
