WESTFORD — Monuments and Memorials Committee approves prior minutes and advances Abbot Millworkers monument project. Committee Chair Terry Stader reported preliminary site conversations with Chief Chambers and Chief Dennehy regarding a Pleasant and Patton roads location, while the board also considered an alternate site on conservation land between Pond Street and the old mill hospital. Conservation Commission Chair Margaret Wheeler flagged concerns about maintenance costs and responsibility; designer Jeff Buccaw and project representative Marisha Taylor committed to providing yearly upkeep cost estimates and visual renderings for April discussion.
