Westford School Committee reviewed enrollment, a climate survey and Robinson School outreach plans. Dr. Chew reported 436 new summer enrollees and 142 unenrollments, a net decline of about 55 students year over year, and flagged crowded grade-3 sections at Crisafulli Elementary, saying "my concern is grade three at Crisafulli." The committee approved its consent agenda unanimously, covering minutes, a human resources item and a MassDPH signature page.
Member Valerie Young said the Robinson School Building Committee, which just added voting members Sunit Chadha and Megan O'Connell, is racing to gather input before narrowing from seven building options to one by December, calling it "the time to push as much as we can for outreach and visibility and awareness." A community forum was set for Wednesday at Stony Brook, with a second planned for October 14.
