Westford Prepares For Groton Road Waterline Construction

Westford is gearing up for waterline construction on Groton Road, also known as Route 40, according to a notice posted to the town's website, while Town Hall also welcomed two new staff members this week.

The town announced upcoming waterline construction on Groton Road (Route 40), though further details on timing and traffic impacts were not yet posted as of Sunday.
Town Hall also announced two new hires this week: Michael Woo joins as the town's new Project/Procurement Specialist, and Eric Du has been brought on as Operations Analyst, according to announcements on the town website. Separately, the Town Manager's office released its August newsletter, and the town put out a call for community members to help support upcoming elections and Town Meetings.

The J.V. Fletcher Library will host a virtual talk on the history of Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom, looking back at the two Boston landmarks since Faneuil Hall opened in 1742 and Quincy Market in 1826.
The Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library also announced their fall book sale is coming, featuring thousands of gently used books along with CDs, DVDs and audiobooks to support the library, though a specific date had not yet been posted.
