WESTFORD — Friends of the Parkerville Schoolhouse Committee approve spring maintenance and floor refinishing. Committee members unanimously accepted February minutes and tabled the Treasurer's Report to April. Building Maintenance Officer Tom outlined April projects: exterior wall washing April 6, trim and deck painting April 7 or 9, and grounds work including snow barrier removal and grass fertilizing.
Indoor coordinator Heidi will follow up on possible asbestos in the basement requiring town evaluation; committee also reported six dead mice and a frozen heater exhaust requiring disposal and potential future modification. June contracted Norman Arsenault of Maynard for floor refinishing by mid-April, with the first school session set for April 28. Building Usage Coordinator Heidi was authorized to spend $100 on a gift certificate to Evviva Trattoria for John, and bench pads ordered in early March are expected to arrive this week.
