WESTFORD — Planning Board approves two administrative items and opens hearing on 300-unit multifamily project. The board voted 5-0-0 to approve the draft decision for a special permit modification at 7 Carl Thompson Road and 5-0-0 to grant administrative review for a change of use at 78 Brookside Road from Business/Professional Office to Retail Sales for an antiques and collectibles shop. At 219 Littleton Road, Attorney Melissa Robbins presented a proposal to construct 300 units in two buildings with 10 percent affordable housing and pedestrian improvements along Route 110; board members raised concerns about fire apparatus access to building rears, snow storage, school bus operations, traffic impacts from nearby developments, and building articulation.
The board voted 5-0-0 to establish a third-party peer review account and 5-0-0 to continue the hearing to March 2, 2026. Public hearings for projects at 400 Littleton Road and 37 Powers Road were continued without discussion to February 19 and March 2 respectively.
