Planning Board approves Nashoba Valley subdivision, endorses open space plan

Westford Planning Board approved Nashoba Valley subdivision and endorsed 10-year open space plan. The board voted 4-0-0 to approve the three-lot subdivision at 79 Powers Road and related parcels, ending a hearing process that began in January. Kelly Lynema and Jennifer Raitt of the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments presented the town's Open Space and Recreation Plan, which the board unanimously endorsed with board member Bob Shaffer's recommendations for a land-inventory database and Westford Academy inclusion.

At 219 Littleton Road, the board closed the public hearing on a 300-unit residential development with a 4-0-0 vote, deferring final decisions to June 1.
