Westford Recycling Commission approves up to $100 for Abbott Mills resident signage. Acting Chair Ken Teal and the five-member commission unanimously approved spending on recycling guidance flyers and signs for residents lacking on-premises collection access. The commission also unanimously directed staff to draft a position statement on paint stewardship legislation modeled on Chelmsford and Sudbury examples.
TenCate Recycling concluded the Nutting Field synthetic turf project by separating reusable materials and reusing crumb rubber in the new field installation; Exxon Mobil will reprocess remaining waste. A proposed Library of Things initiative is seeking approximately $29,500 in seed funding, with $5,000 annual grant money under review.
