Water Board OKs MIT Meter Setup and PFAS Settlement Split

Westford Water Board unanimously approves MIT meter configuration and PFAS fund split. The Board of Water Commissioners voted unanimously to authorize Superintendent Mark Warren to install a 4-inch master meter at a booster station for MIT's water connection, while charging the lower System Development Charge rate for five individual 5/8-inch meters at the connected buildings. The board also voted unanimously to recommend to the Select Board a 90/10 percent split of 3M and DuPont PFAS settlement funds between the Water Department and Health Department.
PFAS treatment plant construction continues at Forge Village and Nutting Road locations.
