Water board approves abatement for leaking toilet bill

WESTFORD — Water Board approves water bill abatement for toilet leak damage. Superintendent Mark Warren reported that the resident at 38 Pine Road had completed repairs and remained current on payments; the Board of Water Commissioners unanimously approved the abatement. Warren also reported foundation-wall construction underway at both PFAS treatment plants and that 600 properties still need evaluation for private-well status.
Westford is participating in an eight-town regional study costing $13,000 to evaluate connecting to the MWRA trunk water line; the study is expected to take approximately six months.
