Westford school panel approves new director, $64,247 in invoices

Westford's Robinson School Building Committee names Tim Bonfardi as project director and clears $64,247 in invoices. The panel unanimously authorized Bonfardi, founder of Compass Project Management, to replace outgoing Vertex director Brian Jarvis, with member Steve calling him someone who "knows his stuff." Members reviewed four HVAC options, including full and hybrid geothermal systems, ahead of an October 13 sustainability vote, and previewed enrollment scenarios of 470, 705 and 1,065 seats and three preschool models the School Committee must decide October 5 and October 19. New member Megan O'Connell pushed for visible cost transparency throughout, invoking a Dracut school project that "failed at the ballot." A new redistricting scenario closing both Robinson and the Day school was confirmed workable by Superintendent Dr.
Chu. A community forum was set for September 9 at Stony Brook Auditorium.
