Affordable Housing Trust approves CHOICE purchase of Roberta McGuire residences

Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of May 6, 2026

Westford Affordable Housing Trust approved CHOICE's purchase of Roberta McGuire senior residences from developer Scott Clark in a unanimous vote May 6, preserving affordability and supportive services. The Trust also recommended to the Planning Board an affordable-unit mix for Westford Regency at 219 Littleton Road: 3 units at 50 percent of area median income, 23 at 80 percent, and 4 at 100 percent, all perpetually affordable. The Trust agreed to investigate condo fee caps and Community Preservation Committee funding options after a resident raised concerns about rising fees forcing affordable homeowners from their homes.

The Trust is also reworking its mission statement with Mass Housing Partnership input to broaden its scope to include varied income levels, sustainability, and diversity, equity and inclusion language.
