Westford Community Preservation Committee elects Jefferies as chair

Westford Community Preservation Committee unanimously elects Robert Jefferies as its new chair. Marilyn Frank nominated Jefferies with Michael Furman seconding the motion, and the committee voted 8-0 to approve. The committee reviewed six FY26 applications including a $590,000 phase 1 structural project for First Parish Church United Meetinghouse, two Forge Pond applications (drawdown study and herbicide treatment) with $40,000 in total matching funds from Littleton CPC, and Vine Brook Footbridge and Freedom Park improvements targeting ADA accessibility.
Formal recommendations are scheduled for February 4 and 10.
