Westford Crews Respond to Water Main Break on Plain Road

WESTFORD — Water Department crews were called out to Plain Road on Thursday evening to repair a main or service line break, warning nearby customers of possible temporary outages, while the town separately closed Nabnasset Lake to swimmers into Friday for a scheduled algae treatment.

TOWN HALL The Westford Water Department said Thursday evening it was responding to a main or service break on Plain Road. Customers between 117 and 143 Plain Road were told they may temporarily lose water service while crews completed repairs.

Separately, the town announced Nabnasset Lake would be treated Thursday, July 16, for nuisance algae. Officials asked residents not to swim in the lake until Friday, July 17.
