Westford Opens Early Voting Saturday Ahead Of State Primary

WESTFORD — Westford opens early voting Saturday, Aug. 22, ahead of next month's state primary, even as Forge Village Road remains closed after a culvert failure. The Town Manager's office also announced a promotion in the assessing department this week.

TOWN HALL

Early voting begins Saturday, Aug. 22, at Town Hall, giving residents their first chance to cast ballots ahead of next month's state primary. The town has posted hours for the early voting period on its website for residents planning to vote before Election Day.

Forge Village Road is closed after a culvert failure, the town announced, though officials did not specify a timeline for repairs or reopening. Drivers who use the road regularly should expect to seek alternate routes until the work is complete.

The Town Manager's office also promoted Steven Clark to chief assessor, and the town said the Stony Brook Track and Athletic Court improvement project has been completed. Separately, the town is asking residents to weigh in on the process for selecting a new town manager, and the Council on Aging posted its September and October newsletter online, detailing programs for the fall.
