Assessors grant most property tax abatement requests

Westford Board of Assessors processes 47 combined property tax abatement and exemption applications. The board unanimously approved a warrant and commitment for 16 supplemental bills totaling $84,999.34, comprising $82,624.18 in real estate assessments and $2,375.16 in community preservation act assessments. The board processed 11 real estate and personal property abatement applications, granting 9 and denying 1 (18 Newport Dr), with Chair Titus Palmer abstaining on 73 Nutting Rd (approved 2-0).
The board also unanimously processed 36 exemption and tax deferral applications, approving 34 and denying 2.
