Board approves $3.7M motor vehicle excise commitment, 14 property abatements

Westford assessors unanimously approve $3.7 million motor vehicle excise commitment for 2026. Board Chair Titus Palmer, joined by members Diane Holmes and Dina Donahue, approved the commitment encompassing 21,512 vehicles totaling $3,699,971.81 in excise taxes. In an executive session, the board approved property tax abatements affecting 14 properties while denying 10 applications and taking no action on one.
Chief Assessor Will Naser reported the board also processed abatements totaling $1,531.81 across 22 vehicles in calendar year 2024.
