WESTFORD — Zoning Board of Appeals approves garage variance at 17 Providence Road. The board unanimously approved a variance for Dorin and Cristina Neacsu to build a 24-by-24-foot garage with a 38-foot front yard setback, where 50 feet is required, citing hardship from narrow lot, steep topography, and conflicting utilities. Chair Scott MacKay imposed a condition requiring any existing trees within 20 feet of the front lot line to remain, unless they die naturally.
The board also conducted interviews with Katherine Arnold and Michael Cataldo for potential board membership; a third candidate, Elizabeth Garber, withdrew due to relocation.
