Conservation Commission amends Kimball Farm Order of Conditions before issuance

Westford Conservation Commission approved two Orders of Conditions and held additional hearings on development projects affecting wetlands. Chair Margaret Wheeler and commissioners unanimously amended conditions for the Jack and Clara Farmstead LLC project at Kimball Farm, requiring review of a detention basin pipe location and mandating that retained trees be root-cut rather than ripped to enhance viability. For Massachusetts Electric Company's work along Forge Village Road involving replacement of 82 poles and removal of eight buffer-zone trees, the Commission issued a Conditional Negative Determination of Applicability requiring trees be cut to stumps and remain in ground.
The 219 Littleton Owner LLC project hearing was continued to March 25 pending stormwater plans and architectural presentation. The Commission also sought additional documentation before approving a proposed mill workers monument on the Freedom Park parcel and accepted volunteer commissioners to review bids for Stony Brook Conservation Area facilities management services due March 29.
