Library boards approve $7,500 for additional commissioning site visits

Library Trustees · Meeting of June 8, 2026

WESTFORD — Library boards unanimously approved a $7,500 transfer for additional commissioning site visits. Trustees and Permanent Town Building Committee members voted 10-0-0 on June 8 to reallocate contingency funds. Permanent Town Building Committee members Chris Karpinsky and Nancy Cook moved and seconded the transfer to cover five extra oversight visits aimed at ensuring the roof and other components are complete before project close-out.

The action reflected the committee's desire to avoid problems from previous town building projects. The committee also discussed requesting Select Board access to a lot for a retaining wall and outflow pipe.
