Library building committee approves chimney reconstruction work

WESTFORD — The Joint Library Building Committee approved construction payments and chimney reconstruction costs. The committee voted 9-1 to approve a $48,308 change order for chimney reconstruction and unanimously approved warrants and invoices totaling $1,175,068.41, which included $1,045,164.60 to Hutter Construction Corporation for work through July 31, 2026. Professional services from CHA Solutions ($42,500) and Finegold Alexander Architects ($57,030) were also approved.
The committee reported that all concrete and steel work on the $32.5 million library project is now complete.
