Library Building Committee Approves Major Construction Change Orders

Westford library renovation advances with major change order approvals. The Joint Library Building Committee voted on six proposed change orders totaling $441,733 at its June 22 virtual meeting, unanimously approving three items for electrical, EV, and roof work totaling $190,490. The geothermal well connections proposal ($39,631) was approved 10-1, while foundation dampproofing remediation was phased: the committee approved $18,000 as a not-to-exceed amount for Option 3, the least expensive approach, with full scope to be determined after staff assesses impacts to other trades.

One interior tile proposal was tabled to July 13, and six previously approved change orders total $397,267.09.
