Select Board authorizes J.V. Fletcher Library project for state approval

Westford Select Board authorized J.V. Fletcher Library project for design phases and approved $706,000 in annual spending. The board voted unanimously to authorize Town Manager Kristen Las to sign required Massachusetts School Building Authority documents, with preliminary design submissions due August 5 and December 9, 2026.
The board approved an easement at 50 Main Street for electric construction, restructured the Community Behavioral and Mental Health Committee to include nine residents plus liaisons, amended the Robinson School Building Committee to add an alternate Finance Committee seat, and accepted a $44,642 donation from Friends of Forge Pond for invasive species management.
