Westford Select Board approves $600,000 in grants, contracts, and municipal expenditures. Chair G. Thomas Clay and the five-member board voted unanimously to accept a $198,676 state energy grant, authorize road salt purchase of $325,553, approve vehicle extrication equipment for $43,315, and execute flu vaccine and water tank maintenance contracts.
The board approved letters of support for two housing initiatives: Redgate's Commercial Conversion Tax Credit application for the former Westford Regency and Habitat for Humanity's Local Initiative Program application for 70 Boston Road. In appointments, Alicia Mallon was reappointed to the Nashoba Valley Technical High School Committee and John Ricketson was reappointed as Registrar of Voters to terms expiring March 31, 2029.
